All foot-tasting aside, we do hope that all our kids will grow to be close one day. Jack and Anna Griffin are so close in age (6 1/2 months) so we really hope that they will have a lot of fun together. Right now, they are vastly different in size and development, but one day soon, they will be the same age and enjoying some of the same things. It's amazing to think that in just 6 1/2 short months, Jack has grown from the size of Anna Griffin (actually a bit smaller than she is now!) to what he is now! At his 6 month visit, he weighed 19 lbs 3 oz and was 27 inches in length. He has grown 11 lbs and 6 inches since his birth! It's not something I am aware of on a day to day basis, but you sure can see the growth when you compare him to someone who was about his size at birth! Jack really looks huge and Anna Griffin looks like Anna-Tiny-Griffin!

Anna (Tiny) Griffin
My sister Caroline has had her baby! We have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of her 2nd child, who was a "surprise" and was referred to as "Baby Homer" for the last 9 months. She was put on bed rest in early October and after taking it week by week, the doctor finally induced her on October 21 and our FIRST NIECE Anna Griffin, arrived at 3:37 pm that day! She was a big girl, weighing in at 8 lbs and 14 oz and was 21 3/4 inches long! Though a boy would have been great, we were pretty excited that we finally have a girl in the family! She is so sweet and snuggly!
My nephew Wesley, who is three, referred to his new sister as Anna-"Tiny"-Griffin the other day. I thought that was so cute, but she's not so tiny for a newborn! We went for a visit yesterday so that Uncle LeGrande and Jack could meet Anna Griffin. Jack was really infatuated with her toes. Well, he is pretty into feet these days, but Anna Griffin wasn't so impressed with his taste test.
